How to Detect Fraud and What to Do

If something doesn't seem right about your medical billsā€”for example, the same item is billed twice or you've been billed for services you never receivedā€”here's what to do:

  • Compare the billing you got from your provider to the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) you received from WPS/TRICARE For Life. Be sure that you received all services listed.
  • Contact the providerā€™s billing office. Some discrepancies may simply be errors in billing. If you know or have evidence of a provider or TFL-eligible person submitting fraudulent claims, please report it. Write to the program integrity unit at reportit@wpsic.com.
