WPS is still processing claims during the Government shutdown. Most claims for TMEP Medicare eligible beneficiaries are not impacted and will continue to be paid during the government shutdown. The remaining claims will be paid when the Government shutdown is over and WPS obtains approval to disburse payments for the remaining TRICARE eligible population. We encourage you to continue submitting claims as you normally do. As soon as we receive approval to issue payment, the portal will reflect the payment information.

Is there a TRICARE For Life card I can show my doctor?

Use your Uniformed Services Identification (ID) Card for TRICARE For Life. It has all the information a provider needs to file a claim.

When you register with the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS), you will receive a Uniformed Services Identification (ID) Card that you should use as your TRICARE For Life card. Use this ID card when visiting a provider or filling a prescription. For more information about your Uniformed Services ID, visit https://tricare.mil/Plans/Eligibility/IDCards.
