At TRICARE4u we take our customers' privacy seriously and understand that visitors of our web site need to be in control of their personally identifiable information (name, email address, sponsor social security number, tax-identification number, postal address, etc.).
As a TRICARE contractor, The Privacy Act of 1974 imposes legal responsibility on TRICARE4u to assure that information about individuals collected in TRICARE records is limited to that which is legally authorized and necessary, and the personal information is maintained in a manner which assures its confidentiality.
The policy of TRICARE4u is to preserve the personal privacy of individuals, permitting an individual to know what records pertain to him or her are collected, maintained, used or disseminated, to other individuals or entities and to have access to and have a comprehensible copy made of all or any portion of such records, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Concomitantly, TRICARE4u activities shall collect, maintain, use or disseminate any record of an identifiable personal nature in a manner which assures that such action is necessary and lawful; that any information collected is accurate, relevant, timely, and complete as is reasonably necessary to assure fairness to the individual, and that adequate safeguards are provided to prevent misuse or unauthorized release of such information.
An individual is a citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence. This status applies only to living persons. The Act does not cover entrepreneurs by the term "individual". Thus, physicians and other sources of care, when acting in their professional business capacity, are not "individuals" under the Privacy Act. To be subject to the Act, information maintained must in fact be personal in nature, and the individual must be dealt with in a personal, not an entrepreneurial role. A legal guardian or the parent of a minor, with certain exceptions, has the same rights as the individual and may act on behalf of the individual.
The information you provide will allow TRICARE4u to process, validate and verify you as a registered member on our web site. Only registered users, providers and agents of our web site will be allowed access to restricted functions of our web site, including some or all of the following:
- Eligibility query
- Other health insurance status/update
- Claim status
- Deductible/Out-of-pocket expense
- Contact Customer Service
- Explanation of Benefits
TRICARE4u will not gather personally identifiable information about you unless you specifically and knowingly provide this information to us. For example, health care providers and beneficiaries may submit authenticated requests in order to access secured areas of our web site. And in these cases, the personally identifiable information is only used for authorized retrieval of the requested data, or for statistical purposes in order to analyze visitors' behavior to measure customer interest in various areas of our web site.
TRICARE4u will not disclose, give, sell or transfer any personally identifiable information to third parties.
It is important to note that electronic mail can be intercepted. Do not provide personally identifiable information to our Customer Service without using the secured Contact Customer Service function as a registered user. Also, please be aware that TRICARE4u has very specific password rules designed to protect you from any unauthorized sources accessing your personal information. There rules are detailed in the registration process. While the password rules may at first seem difficult, please keep in mind that they are designed with your best interest in mind.

WPS has suspended provider portal registration for McLaren Healthcare due to a recent cybersecurity issue. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution.
There has not been confirmation of compromise or any indication that WPS data may have been impacted by this cyberattack.
WPS continues to diligently monitor the situation and has teams tracking, mitigating and preparing to respond as services are restored.
We will update the portal when registration access is returned.

Administrator Access - INSTANT ACCESS
To have instant access as an administrator, you will need to self-authorize your access by providing 2 processed claim examples and beneficiary identifiers. The claims must be from within the last 30 days.
Note: Administrators have additional responsibilities.
Standard Access - TIME FOR ACCESS DEPENDS
For Standard access users, those access requests are submitted to the Admin(s) for the facility Tax ID and zip code location, you registered under.
The Admins must approve those pending access requests. These are not done by WPS-MVH. The access approval depends upon your Admin responding to those requests.
* Please Note: If there are no active Administrators or you are the first person registering for access to that location, the portal will automatically make your account be Admin Level.
You only need to register for one account.
Once your account is active you can add other locations.
